Frequently asked questions

A parent and child who learn with Sunrise Learning
How do online lessons work?
Lessons are one-to-one over video. After your free discovery call we match your child with the right tutor, agree a schedule, and send a simple link to join each session.
What about my time zone?
When you book, you see available times in your own local time automatically. We teach families across the UK, US, Europe and beyond, and we will always confirm a time that works for your child.
How are your tutors vetted?
Every Sunrise tutor is a qualified Nigerian educator, personally selected by our proprietor Olujoke Olabomi, who has 13 years in education. We start small and grow the team carefully.
Is my child safe in lessons?
Yes. Lessons are private and one-to-one, parents are welcome to sit in, and we are happy to share any reassurance you need on your discovery call.
What do we need to get started?
A laptop, tablet or phone with a camera, and a stable internet connection. That is all.
How much does it cost?
Lessons are ₦10,000 per hour. The 20-minute discovery call is completely free, with no card needed and no obligation.
How does payment work?
Create a free account, choose your tutor and book a time, then pay securely by card at the point of booking. Payments are handled by Paystack in Nigerian Naira, and your lesson is confirmed as soon as the payment succeeds. The 20-minute discovery call stays free, with no card needed.
Which subjects do you teach?
English, Mathematics, Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Yoruba, French, Spanish and Computer. We teach at Grade 1-6 (5 to 10 years), Junior high (11 to 13 years), Senior high (14 to 16 years). Each subject page shows the levels it is taught at.
